Indigenous art has been unveiled for Cross River Rail's unique underground art trail.
The art will be installed in four new underground rail stations being delivered in Brisbane by Pulse, a public private partnership (PPP) consortium led by Pacific Partnerships together with the D&C Subcontractor team's CPB Contractors and UGL. UGL will also be the Facilities Management (FM) Subcontractor for the stations and tunnels.
Renowned Queensland artists
The stations will feature 14 artworks by 13 of Queensland's most renowned Indigenous artists.
Each piece of art has been created by a highly celebrated Indigenous artist of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage, either born or residing in Queensland.
The artworks range from a monumental art wall at Roma Street measuring 34 metres long by 13 metres high to decals installed along the length of the underground platform screen doors and elevators.
All 14 artworks can be explored online at www.crossriverrailart.qld.gov.au
